Choose Premium if: one person will use it, you want Copilot inside Word and Excel, and you would rather not pay for seats nobody uses. Microsoft 365 Personal — the minimal single seat Personal covers one user with 1TB of OneDrive and the same desktop apps, but with a narrower set of AI features than Premium. It suits someone who mainly needs Word, Excel and Outlook and does not care about Copilot at all.
